Josiah Sylstra (b.2001 California, USA) grew up and currently resides in San Clemente, CA. Sylstra is an artist whose creative inspiration is greatly influenced by his coastal surroundings, often including LA hats, surfboards, and beach scenery in his works. Growing up in a fashion-loving household, he naturally gravitated toward using fabrics and threads as his medium of choice, and sews each piece of fabric onto the canvas by hand. From LA street culture to San Onofre surf culture, he intends to depict the beauty that emanates from all walks of California life.
